Press Release Body = A New Look for Your New Grad

What is the hottest grad gift around the globe this year? If you're in on the 'teen
scene' you already know the answer, but if you're struggling to find a unique reward
for your graduating teen's "dedication to education", read on.

Times Have Changed

No longer do teen grads simply wish for new cars, new wardrobes, a trip overseas, or
cash as recognition of their achievement. In fact, if your control group is large
enough, (and your group of teens honest enough), you\'re sure to discover that a few
have been working toward a reward that is unique to this generation.

More young adults are asking for 'the gift that lasts a lifetime, increases their
potential for success, and builds self-esteem'.

Peter Dixon of The Jewel Cosmetic Surgery Clinic states that even after "Thirty
years of plastic surgery I am always rewarded in seeing an adolescent patient\'s
delight in their new look."

The rise in popularity isn't limited to teenagers though. A desire for cosmetic
surgery spans across all ages, cultures, and economic classes.

Cosmetic Surgery: Within Reach of the Masses

FACT: The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) report that more than 10.2
million cosmetic surgery procedures were performed in the United States in 2005.

The ASPS also reports that in a survey of 644 potential patients, 30% had household
incomes of less than $30,000 and 41% at less than $60,000. Cosmetic surgery is no
longer a wish of the wealthy.

Although we might assume this a phenomenon limited to western culture, cosmetic
surgery is also increasing in popularity in Australia, Japan, and Korea. The trend
is showing up in the UK as well - the BBC recently reported that 4 out of 10 British
teenage girls desired cosmetic surgery.

"The top three desired cosmetic procedures for teens are breast enhancement,
rhinoplasty and medical skin correction," states Dixon.
